ABOUT BELLUS
Each Bellus piece is crafted using a combination of skilled handwork and modern machinery — giving you both consistent quality and the care of experienced craftspeople.
Yes — Bellus products work well in commercial settings. Contact us at info@bellus.com or through your local reseller for larger project inquiries.
Bellus is a Scandinavian-rooted furniture brand with Finnish and Estonian origins. We design and produce sofas, armchairs, and beds — all made to order with a focus on smart comfort, lasting quality, and clean design. Every piece is developed by our designers in Estonia.
Scandinavian simplicity: clean lines, functional shapes, and timeless proportions. The idea is that the sofa or bed should feel right in the room — not compete with everything else in it. Our head designer has over 20 years of experience in Finland, Estonia, and Denmark.
All design, prototyping, and product development happens in Estonia. Production takes place in Estonia and Ukraine — same materials, same quality standards, same Bellus quality across both locations.
SOFAS & CHAIRS
Yes — you can combine fabrics on most models, for example a different fabric on the seat versus the back or armrests. Contact your reseller to submit a mix-and-match request.
Yes — and we have a wide range. Bellus sofa beds come in several types depending on your needs:
- Forward-opening: Folds out toward you — great for smaller rooms.
- Length-opening: Unfolds along the sofa’s length — suits larger living rooms.
- Chaise longue with bed function: Sleeping surface built into the chaise section, with storage box.
- Open End with bed function: Same seamless integration, open end design, includes storage box.
- Hotel-quality sofa bed: Separate spring mattress for real sleeping comfort — ideal for regular use.
Bed sizes, mechanisms, and mattress options vary by model. Your local reseller can walk you through what’s available.
Over 200 sofa models, including 2-seaters, 3-seaters, corner sofas, modular systems, armchairs, and recliners. Most models are modular, so you can configure the layout to fit your room.
It’s best to leave at least 5–10 cm of clearance between the sofa and any heat source to avoid material damage over time.
Most models offer multiple leg options — colors typically include black, white, oak, dark brown, walnut, beech, and chrome metal. Leg height options are also available on many models, which is useful for taller users who want a higher seat position.
Seat height varies by model, typically in the range of 43–47 cm. If you need the exact measurement for a specific model, your reseller can confirm this.
BEDS
Yes — Bellus offers several electric adjustable beds. These allow you to raise and lower the head and leg sections independently. Ask your local reseller which models are currently available with this option.
Most Bellus beds are designed to be used with a top mattress. Many models come with one included in the package, while others let you choose from a selection of top mattress options. Check the specific model or ask your reseller to find the right fit.
Yes — for example, Compact Bliss and Compact Sway come with a lift-up storage system under the mattress. Ask your reseller for other current models that include storage.
Bellus beds are available in Soft, Medium, Firm, and Extra Firm. On most models you can choose the firmness individually per side — very practical for couples with different preferences.
Bellus beds come in a wide range of sizes. Standard lengths are 200 cm and 210 cm, and widths range from 80 cm up to 210 cm — covering everything from single beds to generous king-size options. For exact dimensions, check the specific model page or ask your local reseller.
COMFORT & SEATS
- Comfort seat: High-resilience foam — firm, structured, and very durable. Great for those who prefer solid support.
- Cloud seat: Pocket springs with a memory foam top layer — a balanced mix of support and softness. Includes a 5-year spring breakage guarantee.
- Cloud Plus seat: Pocket springs with a feather top layer — the softest and most luxurious option. Also includes the 5-year spring breakage guarantee.
Most Bellus frames are built from solid wood and plywood — chosen for strength and long-term stability. The exact specification can vary by model.
Bellus does not publish a specific maximum weight limit for any models. Our products are designed for normal everyday use and made with durable materials to provide optimal comfort for an average person. As with all upholstered furniture, use outside typical everyday conditions may affect how the cushions perform over time, for example causing them to soften faster.
Yes — sofas do soften naturally over time. The padding and upholstery materials settle with regular use, so a sofa that feels firm at first will become more comfortable over the first few months.
FABRICS & LEATHER
Yes — all synthetic and microfiber fabrics are fully vegan. Eco-leather (PU) is also a vegan leather alternative. Only the genuine leather options (Amalfi, Torello, Labrador) are animal-derived.
Yes — contact your local Bellus reseller and they can arrange a swatch pack. Always check fabrics in person before ordering, especially for larger pieces.
No separate flame retardant chemicals are added. All Bellus fabrics meet EU SL2 fire safety requirements for home use without chemical treatment.
Yes — Bellus offers Easy Clean fabrics where most surface spills can be wiped off with water, and some options are also water repellent. These are a great choice for families, pets, or everyday heavy use. Your reseller can show you which options are available for your chosen model.
Over 100 fabric options across textures, categories, and color tones — from performance synthetics and easy-clean options to premium bouclé, velvet, chenille, and natural blends. Leather is also available in selected options.
Three genuine leather options:
- Amalfi: Fully corrected, very durable, low maintenance (care 1–2 times per year)
- Torello: Slightly corrected, Dollaro print, elegant look (care 1–2 times per year)
- Labrador: Minimal correction, natural grain that develops patina over time (care 3–4 times per year)
PU eco-leather is also available as a more affordable and stain-resistant alternative.
Tightly woven microfiber and performance synthetics are the most practical choices. They resist claws, repel spills, and are easier to clean. Look for fabrics with high Martindale scores (50,000+) and washable care instructions.
CARE & MAINTENANCE
Leather is a natural material that develops character and patina over time — this is normal and desirable. Dust with a clean damp cloth and use only leather-specific care products. Fully corrected leathers (Amalfi, Torello) need care 1–2 times per year. Labrador needs care 3–4 times per year.
Vacuum regularly with a soft furniture nozzle (max 500W suction). For spills, pat dry immediately with a clean damp cloth — never rub. Before using any cleaning product, always test it on a hidden area first. For deeper cleaning, follow the care label on your specific fabric.
Yes, completely normal. New furniture can have a slight scent from materials and glues that disappears within a few weeks. All Bellus products meet EU REACH chemical requirements and are not harmful to your health.
No. Wrinkles and ripples are a natural characteristic of upholstered furniture, caused by fabric movement and cushion filling settling in. They do not affect the product’s lifespan or quality. You can smooth them out by hand. Fiber-filled cushions benefit from regular fluffing.
WARRANTY & CLAIMS
No — all claims go through the reseller where you purchased the product. The reseller contacts Bellus on your behalf and coordinates any assessment, repair, or replacement.
Contact the reseller where you purchased the product. Include a clear description of the issue, photos from both close-up and at a distance, and your purchase receipt. Report it as soon as you notice it — and avoid using the product in a way that could make the damage worse.
The warranty does not cover: normal wear and tear, fabric pilling, color fading from sunlight or use, damage from misuse, damage from incorrect cleaning methods, or defects resulting from failure to follow Bellus care instructions.
Bellus beds carry a 2-year EU warranty on structural elements and workmanship, plus a 10-year guarantee against spring breakage in the mattress core.
All Bellus sofas carry a 2-year EU warranty covering structural and material defects. Cloud and Cloud Plus seats additionally carry a 5-year spring breakage warranty. The warranty is valid only when the product is used as intended and care instructions are followed.
BUYING & DELIVERY
No — Bellus sells exclusively through authorized resellers. There is no direct-to-consumer sales channel. Pricing, stock availability, and delivery are all handled by your local reseller.
Changes may be possible shortly after the order is placed — contact your reseller as soon as possible. Once production has started, changes are generally not possible.
Bellus has resellers in several markets outside the EU as well. All sales go through local authorized resellers. Tell us your location at info@bellus.com and we can help point you in the right direction.
Measure the width, depth, and height of the intended space, and also check access paths — doorways, hallways, and stairwells. Most sofas require at least 80–85 cm of door width for delivery. Your reseller can help you work through measurements for a specific model.
Typical production time for a made-to-order sofa or bed is 6–8 weeks. Some models or configurations may be available faster. Confirm exact lead times with your reseller, as this can vary with production load and material availability.
SUSTAINABILITY
Yes. Frames and glues are non-toxic. All products meet EU REACH chemical requirements. No separate flame retardant chemicals are added. Foam used in Bellus products is approved by the Estonian Allergy Association.
Yes — several fabrics in the Bellus range include recycled materials. For example, Wooley uses 100% recycled polyester, and Lineo is made from 100% recycled olefin. Ask your reseller for the full list of fabrics with recycled content.
Bellus products are designed and built to last for many years with proper care. Our frame construction, joint methods, and material choices are all aimed at long-term durability — not fast furniture. Cloud and Cloud Plus sofas carry a 5-year spring guarantee; beds carry a 10-year spring guarantee.
Sustainability is built into how we make every product:
- Water-based, low-VOC glues — safe for workers, your home, and the environment
- 70% of fiber off-cuts are upcycled into new cushioning
- 50% recycled polyester used in back pillows
- Foam is shredded and reused in production
- Packaging uses recycled plastic materials
